Roads closed, rerouted during PTC road race

Peachtree City residents should be aware that the annual Peachtree City Classic Road Race Saturday morning will cause some inconvenience in getting around town.

The following roads will be closed or rerouted during the event:

McIntosh Trail from Kelly Drive to Peachtree Parkway - closed 6 a.m.-11:15 a.m. (residents of Fishers Bank should use the Peachtree Parkway exit).

Waterwood Bend, southern section - closed 9 a.m.-9:45 a.m.

Peachtree Parkway, southbound lane - closed from Booth Middle School to Braelinn Road, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. (two-way traffic will be allowed in the northbound lane).

The following subdivisions will be affected by the race from 9:15-9:45 a.m.: Balmoral Village, Braelinn Courts, Braelinn Green, Calgary Place, Center Green, The Fairways, Hampton's Corner, Harmony Village and Village Park.
