| Brooks councilman
resigns
By CAROLYN CARY Brooks Town Councilman C. W. Howle has submitted his letter of resignation. He was elected a year ago in a special election to serve in Post 4. He wrote that "due to circumstances beyond my control, my residence is no longer within the town limits of the town of Brooks. Therefore, effective Sept. 1, 2000, I am resigning my Town Council post." Town Mayor Bobby Butler has contacted Town Attorney David Winkle to begin the proper paperwork to hold a special election. The dates for qualifying and election will be announced.
