Registration drive set

An NAACP voter registration drive is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Fayette Pavilion Wal-Mart.

Also, the Fayette NAACP Youth Council will sponsor a voter drive Saturday, Oct. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church on Ga. Highway 314 north.

The local branch now has its monthly meetings at the Flat Rock A.M.E. Church on second Saturdays. Fayette County Commissioner Harold Bost will address the membership at its Oct. 14 meeting, at 4 p.m.
