Collins receives small business award The National Federation of Independent Business awarded Rep. Mac Collins, R-Ga., its Guardian of Small Business award for "an outstanding voting record on behalf of America's small-business owners in the 106th Congress. "The record shows that when the roll is called, Rep. Collins has been a true and consistent advocate for Main Street small businesses," said NFIB President Jack Faris. "Small business owners pay close attention to how their elected representatives vote and will reward those who win the Guardian of Small Business Award." The NFIB, the nation's largest small-business advocacy group, awarded Collins a 100 percent rating for votes that the group says will reduce red tape, for tort reform and providing tax relief. The organization has 600,000 members and representatives in all 50 state capitals.
