Eight cases end
in guilty pleas The following people entered guilty pleas in Fayette County Superior Court Friday morning. Each were sentenced by Superior Court Judge Christopher Edwards:
Christine Lamawaima, for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to five years probation and $4,150 fine. Johnny Frank Horsley, for theft by taking. Sentenced to eight years probation, with the first year on intensive probation, payment of $1,060 restitution and a $1,500 fine. Samuel Mehalick, for theft by taking and fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer. Sentenced to one year in prison, seven years probation and a $3,500 fine. Michael James Gordon, for theft by taking. Sentenced to four years in prison, three years probation and a $1,500 fine. Jimmy Morris, for forgery in the first degree, driving a suspended license and failure to register a vehicle. Sentenced to three years probation with a $2,650 fine Orlando Perez Glass, for entering an automobile. Sentenced to five years probation and attendance at a state-operated boot camp. Gayle Jenkins, for theft by shoplifting. Sentenced to 10 years probation, with one of those years being on a home confinement program and a $2,000 fine. Roger Dale Shaw, for improper display of a license plate and driving without tail lights. Sentenced to 12 months probation and a $300 fine.
