Coffee house coming next weekend

The Saturday, September 23, Stars on the Southern Crescent coffee house at the LaFayette Educational Center will showcase the acoustic duo of Grubbs and Imes, whose original and traditional songs span blues, gospel, folk and rock.

Performances by singer/actors Brian Turner and Bettina, accompanied by Martha Clarke on piano, complete the program.

LaFayette Educational Center is located at 205 LaFayette Avenue, just northwest of the courthouse square. Doors open at 7:45 p.m., and the show begins at 8:15.

General admission is $7, with a special $5 admission for senior citizens and children under 12. Group rates and reserved tables for eight or more are available with payment in advance.
