Volunteer
counselors needed
The Health Insurance Counseling, Assistance and Referral for the Elderly,
a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission, is currently seeking volunteer
counselors.
Four days of orientation and training will be offered Oct. 18, 25, 26
and Nov. 1.
HICARE provides health insurance information, counseling and assistance
for older adults and their families when they need help understanding
Medicare, Medicaid, medical bills, supplemental insurance or long-term
care insurance.
Volunteers are needed to receive calls and provide accurate information
on Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance, schedule appointments for one-on-one
meetings and assist in the publicity of HICARE to older adults.
