A man accused of a church bombing in Las Vegas is staying with relatives in Peachtree City while he awaits trial in federal court in Nevada.

But James Carbullido, 45, has been placed under house arrest as a condition of his probation, said David Sanders, chief probation officer for U.S. District Court in Nevada. An electric monitoring system is used to make sure he won't leave, and Carbullido is being carefully watched by federal probation authorities here, Sanders said.

"He was released under a number of conditions that include treatment, strict supervision, and home confinement with electronic monitoring," Sanders said. He added that even a minor violation of those conditions would
result in Carbullido being returned to Nevada.

Carbullido is charged with one count of arson and one count of using a destructive device. Authorities believe he made a crude bomb setup that caused minor damage to a Mormon church in Nevada in June of last year.

The setup included nine milk jugs fashioned into gasoline bombs, but only two of them exploded, Sanders said. Carbullido was identified as a suspect since his fingerprints were lifted from a note left at the scene, Sanders added.

A flyer regarding Carbullido's visit to the area was circulated at area locations of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Local police officials confirmed that they have notified area churches of Carbullido's presence.
