Du-Roc serving more than just BBQ

In addition to smoked pit barbecue, the Du-Roc Cafe, on Marquis Drive (off Ga. Highway 54) in Fayetteville serves up a mighty fine catfish plate on Thursdays.

Accompanied by fries and cole slaw, the special satisfies that occasional catfish craving that bites even the most devoted barbecue lover.

Du-Roc is a favorite destination for Fayette County diners in search of traditional beef, pork and chicken barbecue. The plates are served with stew, cole slaw and cornbread.

For man-size appetites, there’s “The Dudley Du-Rocker Special,” a bodacious barbecue combo of pork or beef with ribs and chicken.
Spud lovers can have theirs baked and barbecued when they order the Du-Roc Classic — the baked stuffed potato, filled with pork or beef ‘cue and topped with sour cream and cheese.

Barbecue sandwiches, wings and a limited variety of grill fare such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and chargrilled chicken, round out the menu.
A “Little Piglets” menu which offers the younger set a scaled-down version of the adult items, plus a corn dog and grilled cheese sandwich, aim to please.
Peach or blackberry cobbler, with or without a scoop of ice cream, is the perfect finale to a good country meal.

Du-Roc is open for business Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday.
