The Cornerstone Bible Church takes its name from Ephesians 2:21: ...and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone, The congregation dates back to 1981 and built its current sanctuary in 1988. Pastor Terre Haas serves this congregation of over 100 members. I think the church should reflect the diversity of the community it serves, he said, and God would receive much glory if our congregation can do just that. In that vein, he has been conducting a series of sermons on becoming a house of prayer. We hope to be able to make a greater impact for the Lord Jesus through increased prayer effort, he said. Emphasis at this church, he added, is on exalting Jesus as the Son of God, and I believe that studying the scriptures shows us how to do that. The church is looking for a part-time youth pastor. He will be leading the youth in Bible studies and find ways for them to practice their studies through mission trips. The church is at 426 Rivers Road and can be reached at 770-964-6789. Sunday morning worship is at 10:50 a.m., Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. and Sunday evening worship is at 6:30 p.m. On the last Sunday of each month, the congregation breaks up into fellowship groups and meets in various homes.
