Siddons signing set in Fayetteville

Popular author Anne Rivers Siddons will be in Fayetteville Saturday to autograph copies of her new book, “Nora, Nora,” at the Fayette Book Shop, 1 - 2 p.m.

“Nora, Nora” takes place in Lytton, Ga., a small town just south of Atlanta. The story, set in 1961, revolves around 12-year-old Peyton McKenzie, her widowed, distant father, proper Aunt Augusta, and longtime cook Clothilde.

Into town rolls a distant cousin, Nora Findlay, in her pink Thunderbird. Nora is immediately he talk of the town as she is so unconventional and so un-Southern.

Siddons is the bestselling author of 14 novels and was named Georgia Author of the Year in 1988 for “Peachtree Road.”
