Youth earns Eagle Award

Patrick T. Burke of Peachtree City, a member of Boy Scout Troop 201, has earned Scouting's highest honor, the Eagle Scout Award.

Burke, 15, is a third-generation Eagle Scout. He has earned 36 Boy Scout merit badges, and designed and constructed a campsite in a wooded area as his Eagle project.

A sophomore at Starr's Mill High School, Burke is a member of Starr's Mill Panther Pride Marching Band, involved in youth Bible study and is a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. He is the son of John and Kathy Burke of Peachtree City. Troop 201 is sponsored by Providence United Methodist Church.
