Whether you're shopping for a church, need spiritual guidance, or just want an update on what's happening in your parish, the latest information is just a mouse click away.

Church web sites have become as commonplace as the Sunday bulletin, and a lot more entertaining. From the flying doves gracing Heritage Christian Church's site to the inspirational poems and book recommendations found on the site provided by the First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City, surfing the web can be a soul enriching experience.

Looking for a Bible verse related to a particular subject? Try Flat Rock A.M.E. and click on “God's Yellow Pages.” Three columns zero in on where to look for verses dealing with extravagance (1 Timothy 6:7-12), adversity (Matthew 10:16-39) or lip service (Matthew 7:1); Christian virtues and character like love, (Luke 10:27), (1 Corinthians), faith (Matthew 8:5-13), (Mark 11:22-24), and teachings about life's problems such as loneliness (Psalm 23), (Hebrews 13:5,6) or discouragement, (Psalm 42 6-11).

There are also links to other African Methodist Episcopal church web sites and basic information about the church and its history.

“Your most important decision” can be made by clicking on Fayetteville First Baptist's telephone graphic which takes you directly to an animated scene depicting man's split from God through sin and reunification by the cross. You can also check up on Donna Kirby, a missionary stationed in Hong Kong, and take a photo tour of her life and work abroad.

Hear a prerecorded message from Atlanta City Church and check on the Christian web sites of the day. You'll find everything from the Christian Cafe, the virtual hangout for single Christians wishing to mingle, to the holylandmall.com, where you can purchase a piece of the Holy Land for your home. News of ACC's Spanish church can also be accessed from the home page.

If you missed the Sunday sermon at Covenant Presbyterian Church you can listen to it online. Have questions about Christianity? Head for Fayette Community Church's web site.

Construction updates are posted in picture form for Heritage Christian Church. Its home page features a touching photo of children standing near a log cross on the site of their new church building.

Whatever you're seeking, church web sites fill the bill. From basic information about location and service times to prayer lists and philosophy, just boot up and search.

Here are the web addresses for the churches mentioned above: flatrockamechurch.org; fayettecommunity.org; atlantacchurch.org; FirstPres.com; covenantpres.net; heritagechristian.org and fayettevillefbc.org
