The Morning Creek Bridge over Kenwood Road will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, June 26, at 9 a.m. for repairs. The repairs should take less than a week to complete, according to Fayette County public works director Lee Hearn. Detours are clearly posted, he said.

The Georgia Youth Ballet will have a free performance in Fayetteville with guests Elie Lazar of the Joffrey Ballet and Jessica Mylene of the Cincinnati Ballet. The curtain is set to rise Friday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Sams Auditorium. For information, phone 770-716-9858.

Now that the deadline for registration to be eligible to vote in the July 18 General Primary has passed, absentee ballots are available at the Fayette County Registrar's office. For information on how to cast an absentee ballot, phone 770-460-5730, extension 5408.

, Carolyn Ford's expansion plans will be on the agenda as the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission meets this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. The group also will consider a preliminary plat for Lakeside on Redwine subdivision, and development plans for the Georgia 85 retail center and Walgreen's at Banks Road and Ga. Highway 314.
