NAACP to hold voter drive Sat.

A voter registration drive is being held by the Fayette County NAACP 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday at the Fayette Pavilion Wal-Mart.

The drive represents the last chance to register to vote in the July primary before the cutoff date. Citizens will be able to register to vote, ask questions and get information on upcoming elections at the drive.

At the same time, the NAACP will hold its membership enrollment campaign at a different table. Membership is open to people of all races who believe in freedom, justice and equality.

Nonmembers and former members are encouraged to sign up and renew their memberships. Both drives will be held in memory of Earl T. Shinholster, a lifelong champion of civil rights and voter empowerment.

For more information, call 770-460-9934 or 404-767-4979.
