June Happenings

Here's a sampling of what is being offered at The Gathering Place in Peachtree City this month:

Movie matinee: Offered Monday and Wednesday afternoons 3-5 p.m. This month features musicals — “Paint Your Wagon,” “Auntie Mame,” “Brigadoon” and “Cabaret.”

Movies are viewed on a large-screen television. Popcorn and soft drinks are available.

Gardening: Judi Kubitz, the “Plant Doctor” from Home Depot, will speak June 20 about growing herbs and the many ways to use them.

Serendipitea: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 a.m. Come visit and try something new. Each session is a short, easy project or new idea to try. Tea will be served. No charge.

Book discussion: 2nd Friday of each month 3-5 p.m. Seniors invited, no charge, light and fun reading.
