Woolsey sets election

The town of Woolsey will have an unusual election this year to coincide with the statewide General Primary July 18.

Councilman Brian Lair has decided to retire from the Town Council, “thus, we must participate in the July special elections,” said Mayor Gary Laggis in a letter to county officials.

Qualifying for the council seat will be open June 21-23, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
