A break in the investigation of a home invasion in Fayetteville Tuesday quickly led to two arrests the following day.

Police identified a second suspect in the case Tuesday and issued warrants for his arrest. Police went to the Atlanta home of that suspect, Gerald Antonio Raysor, on Wednesday, apprehending him and Thale Antaneal Brownlee.

Brownlee, 25, of 2749 Enon Rd., was arrested for armed robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Raysor, 29, of 1366 Sargeant Ave., Atlanta, was arrested for armed robbery and burglary.

The incident occurred March 8 at a residence on Glenwood Lane. Investigators from the Fayetteville Police Department were still actively working the case when the new information came to light, according to a police report.

Previously, they had difficulty tracking down Brownlee because he was in hiding, said police spokesman Lt. Tom Kirkbride.

The suspects were apprehended in Atlanta by Fayetteville police investigators and deputies from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department.

According to police, Brownlee was identified when his fingerprints were lifted from a roll of duct tape that was used to tie up Thaddius White. The duct tape was connected to Brownlee using the surveillance camera from the store where he purchased the tape.

The assailants were armed and forced White and his two children inside, according to initial police reports.

None of the Whites was seriously injured, Lt. Kirkbride said, but Thaddius White was tied up before the assailants left the scene.

The suspects demanded money from White and escaped with a small amount of cash, police reported.
