Local Girl Scout
volunteers are honored Six Fayette
County volunteers were recognized for their
outstanding contribution to Girl Scouts in the
Pine Valley Council.
Brenda
Torbush, an active volunteer for more than 20
years, was awarded the Thanks Badge II. Torbush
has served as a troop leader, administrative
volunteer and a volunteer trainer.
Lynn
Fletcher received the Thanks Badge. She led the
Adult Development Task Force in reviewing and
revamping the volunteer training process for the
council. Fletcher has been a troop leader and
volunteer trainer.
Kim
Jeffords received the Honor Pin, which is awarded
to a volunteer for outstanding service in two or
more geographic locations within the council's
14-county jurisdiction. Jeffords has served as a
troop leader and has coordinated the Fayette
County Girl Scout Day Camp for three years. She
also is a volunteer trainer.
The
Appreciation Pin was awarded to three Fayette
County leaders: Brianna Torbush, Barbara Swafford
and Diane Yost. This award recognizes an adult
who has delivered outstanding service, beyond the
expectations for the position to at least one
geographic area, service unit or program delivery
audience.
