Tyrone's
budget is on the way down.
Town
Manager Barry Amos said this year's proposed
budget is $2.27 million, down from last year's
$2.4 million.
The
budget that Town Council members will discuss
Thursday at 7:30 p.m. also features $125,000 in
funds to start building ball fields at the
40-acre tract the town recently bought near
Swanson Road.
We're
excited to get these new ball fields going,
Amos said.
The
reason this year's budget is lower, Amos
explained, is that last year's budget featured
$180,000 in land purchase funds.
Thursday
night's budget presentation is the only item on
the agenda. The final vote on the budget is
scheduled June 15 at 7:30 p.m.
