Volunteers sought
for historic group Fayetteville
is looking for a few good folks to serve on its
new Historic Preservation Commission.
City
Council members discussed possible appointments
to the commission last week, but decided to try
to increase the number of nominees before picking
the five members of the panel.
Council
will discuss the matter again at its June 5
meeting.
The
commission will be responsible for reviewing
proposed architectural changes to historical
properties under the city's new historic
preservation ordinance, and for encouraging
historic preservation in general.
If
you're interested in being on the commission,
phone City Hall at 770-461-6029.
