Fayetteville's
Planning Commission is expected to vote Tuesday
on a rezoning request to allow 48 homes on 19.3
acres in west Fayetteville.
Bob
Adams Homes is asking for R-15 PUD, which would
allow just under three homes per acre, for the
proposed Stoneridge subdivision, on the south
side of Ga. Highway 54, just east of the Burch
Road Office Park.
That's
too dense, says the city's planning staff, which
is recommending denial of the request. The city's
land use plan for the area calls for offices and
low density residential development, according to
the staff's report.
The
commission discussed the request during a work
session last week and heard comments from
residents of the area who were opposed to the
change.
Also
on the agenda this coming Tuesday will be
development plans from Ferguson Enterprises for
its proposed plumbing/HVAC supply showroom in
East Fayette Industrial Park.
The
bilding would be at Robinson Drive and Hwy. 54.
Commissioners
will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
