In the past few months, we've dined at some of Fayette's finest restaurants and I've occasionally guided you to a hidden dining jewel. This month, we're starting at the beginning of the food chain breakfast. Experts say it's the most important meal of the day, but many of us are time-trapped and just grab a quick piece of toast and choke it down with coffee on the way to work. That doesn't have to be the only way. There are plenty of venues in the county that offer quick breakfasts for time-challenged folks. There's also quite a few for when you have time to linger over that second up of coffee. Here are some of Fayette's breakfast options: Quick taste of New York - Manhattan Bagel in Peachtree City offers a bagel and a schmear like nobody else in the county. Quick taste of the South - Chick-fil-A in Peachtree City and Fayetteville. The best biscuits that your mama didn't cook. A short trip through the drive-through and you can put some South in your mouth. Quick generic food - McDonald's or your favorite gas station. Both the fast food giant and several gas stations serve their versions of biscuits which will satisfy that hunger on a moment's notice. If you've got a little more time, try these places. Shadows in Peachtree City serves a killer weekend brunch and it's a nice space to while away a Sunday morning. Starbucks and the Atlanta Bread Company offer a small touch of Europe in the county. Fresh pastries and strong coffee lead to good conversation. Finally, there's the triumvirate of breakfast joints for many people in the county: Waffle House - a Georgia tradition for many years. Scattered, smothered and covered... oh my! Shoney's - When you're really hungry, nothing tops the breakfast bar with its wide variety of choices. ” International House of Pancakes - Pancakes, omelettes and much more. With all these choices, breakfast can be a viable option for everybody.
