Arrest made for
grocery store fraud By

An
unexpected charge on a credit card led to an
arrest in police believe could be a conspiracy
among employees at a local grocery store.
According
to Fayetteville Police Department reports, a
customer called the manager of the Kroger at
Banks Crossing to report that she had two
high-value charges on her statement for purchases
that she knew nothing about.
A
subsequent investigation found that several
employees were involved, along with one
employee's boyfriend, using the unsuspecting
customer's credit card number without her card
for purchases.
Chris
L. Grant, 19, of Fayetteville was arrested for
forgery in the first degree and financial
transaction card theft, according to reports.
In
other unrelated incidents:
A
shoplifter was nabbed at T.J. Maxx Saturday
evening even before police arrived. According to
reports, the suspect hid a $25 shirt in his pants
pocket and ran across the store when confronted.
Kevin
Mills, 17, of Fayetteville was arrested for theft
by shoplifting. He was also found in possession
of three CD players, several pens and some fake
tattoos, none of which he could prove ownership
for, reports indicated.
A
Griffin man was arrested Sunday afternoon for
marijuana possession after a traffic stop.
Richard Tommy Reagn, 31, was driving a 1975
Camaro when he was stopped on Ga. Highway 85 at
85 North Parkway, according to reports.
Police
are looking for a suspect after a 1990 Dodge
Caravan was reported stolen over the weekend.
Reports indicated that the vehicle was taken
during the night from outside an apartment on
Hunters Lane, and it was discovered missing
Sunday morning. It belongs to a Peachtree City
resident and was borrowed by a friend who was
moving.
