Bond was set Tuesday afternoon for a Fairburn man charged with drug possession and loitering in a Peachtree City neighborhood earlier this week. Jeffrey Grant was arrested early Tuesday, according to testimony in Fayette County Magistrate Court. He was arrested outside 108 Honeysuckle Lane with three plastic bags in his car believed to contain crack cocaine. A charge of loitering and prowling stems from allegations that he was going door to door looking for gas money for his car. He testified that he went to only two homes, and the second person he talked to took him to a gas station. Judge Grady Huddleston set Grant's bond at $600. In an unrelated case, bond was set at $2,000 for Randy Tyrone Garman for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery under the Family Violence Act. Garman allegedly hit his girlfriend on the face and head with his fist during an altercation at their home last Saturday, according to testimony at the hearing. Monroe Roark
