Grady Huddleston seeks return to magistrate post

Judge Grady Huddleston will seek reelection as judge of the Magistrate Court of Fayette County in the General Primary July 18.

A native of Fayette County, Huddleston has served in the post for 13 year.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and an L.L.B. degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law.

“I appreciate the support and confidence given to me in the past by the citizens of Fayette County and I pledge to continue the duties of the office of Magistrate Court in an honest, impartial and efficient manner to the best of my ability,” said Huddleston in his announcement press release.

Huddleston is a combat veteran of World War II, having served with the 34th Infantry Division in Europe. He received the Bronze Star and the European Theater Ribbon with two battle stars.

He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Fayetteville First Baptist Church and is a past master of Tyrone Masonic Lodge 644 and Fayetteville Lodge 711.

Huddleston is married to the former Carolyn Putman of Brooks with two daughters, Anne Palcer and Gloria “Geeje” Huddleston.
