A pair of personal injury cases involving automobile accidents resulted in plaintiff's verdicts in Fayette County State Court last week.

A jury awarded Marshjun and Kayla Robinson $10,000 Thursday in a case dating back to 1995. According to court records, the Robinsons were driving north on Interstate 75/85 when a car driven by Sheila Morris of Fayetteville attempted to pass them before running out of roadway and causing a “violent collision.”

Both Robinsons were injured, the suit claimed, as Marshjun was driving and Kayla was strapped into a child safety seat. Morris' car struck the Robinsons' car twice, the suit stated.

A jury Friday awarded Ivonia Sutton $7,250 for injuries suffered in an accident in the Newnan area in 1998. She was driving west on Ga. Highway 34 near Sullivan Road when her car collided with one driven by Andrea Hipps Todd of Peachtree City, court records indicated.
