Activities abound for all ages at Braelinn

“Every church is important,” said Barry Odom, pastor of evangelism and missions for Braelinn Baptist Church.

“We want to position ourselves so that people who are seeking a place will find comfort here if they seek us out.”

If traveling and helping others is some of the comfort you are seeking, this is the place for you. If you're a teenager, church teens will be heading to Puerto Rico in July to build a house for a family and help bring up substandard housing for others.

In June they will head for the beach in Laguna Beach, Fla. where they not only will dive into the water, but also will dive into the words of God.

Also in June and July, trips to Birmingham and Knoxville will find them in inner city settings sharing their labor and talents with teens less fortunate.

Are you an adult and would like to take a cruise? How about taking one with a purpose as you dock at Italy and spend your days performing on-shore ministry. Ten days will be spent in sharing the gospel in Italy.

Or perhaps you would like to board a cruise ship (Operation Mobilization) in July and minister to the ship's crew through praise and worship, music and drama. Then relieve them in their ship duties as they take a few days off and you get to cook and wash dishes on the high seas.

Serving people at home is equally important to the 900 members in attendance each week.

A “ladies night out” is offered with a different theme for each event: there are four different bands; a program will be conducted several times throughout the year entitled “Crop `til you drop,” which will be a teaching session in preserving photos and memories; student dramas, adult drama dessert Theater, as well as events involving the whole family.

Sixth graders are invited to “ROCK.” That's Radically On-fire Christlike Kids. Activities include scavenger hunts, roller skating, hay rides, pool parties and golf car rallies.

If you want to participate in a really big Easter egg hunt, come to the church Saturday, April 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Those in the community as well as in the church in the toddler through kindergarten age can participate in pony rides, free face-painting, taking a moon walk, and the best part of all - hunting for 4,000 Easter eggs.

The church is at 777 Robinson Road, Peachtree City, and can be reached at 770-487-6691.
