Kindergarten registration for the 2000-2001 school year will be at the elementary school in your district April 20 from 9 - 11 a.m. and from 4 - 6 p.m.

A child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2000 to register.

Parents need to provide the following documentation for registration: Certified birth certificate with the imprinted, raised seal; Child's Social Security card; one of the following — property deed or original signed lease agreement or an affidavit of residency, obtained from Beverly Pittman, LaFayette Educational Center, 205 Lafayette Ave., Fayetteville, phone 770-460-3990, extension 122; current gas or electric bill displaying name and address of service; photo ID of parent or guardian registering the student.

By the beginning of school, the following information is required: Immunization record on the Georgia State Form 3231 (the varicella vaccine and hepatitis B vaccine are now required for attendance; eye, ear and dental record on the Georgia State Form 3300.
