Mayor's letter is a laugher

Please, don't bore us or make us laugh—with regular articles to the paper, Mr. Mayor. I don't and won't believe a word you write. Although I have to say, I had a few laughs from your first ramblings—mainly your ground rules.

I can't believe a person, when asked at a council meeting in 1997, (according to him) who said he did not know who his landlord was—is now going to tell us “The real facts.” This was when the Mayor was negotiating with Messrs. Black and Mitchell to buy the sewer system for Peachtree City from them, and there was a feeling his relationship with the sellers could be interpreted as a conflict of interest. At the time and now, Lenox' business was located on Dividend Drive but his office was in the PCDC (Pathways) building, had been there for several years. He had been seen many times walking out of the building with Messrs. Mitchell and Black. After the question and his reply, he relocated his office almost immediately—moving in the rain.

For a second I thought he was describing himself when he wrote “Ironically, any member of council, including self-righteous, pompously indignant—and woefully inept—.”

More laughs—he's trying to keep someone from shooting themselves in the “foot” and admits that he's minus a few “toes.” Ha! Ha!
