Sign to be erected for Senoia

Motorists looking for Senoia will have a slightly easier time finding it in the near future, thanks to Peachtree City's approval of a new directional sign for its neighbor to the south.

The City Council at its March 2 meeting approved the erection of a directional sign at the intersection of Ga. Highway 74 and Rockaway Road, which is in the city limits of Peachtree City. Rockaway Road is perhaps the most commonly used thoroughfare for drivers between the two cities, as it goes from the highway directly into Senoia at Main Street.

The sign will read “Historic Senoia — est. 1866” and measure five feet across by 30 inches in height.

Erection of the sign was approved providing it is installed in accordance with Peachtree City codes and the top of the sign is not more than six feet off the ground.
