Academic camp on tap this summer

For parents wanting to give their children the academic edge, Learning Forum's SuperCamp may fit the bill.

The program will be offered in Georgia for the first time at Emory University. Recognized nationally for its innovative approaches, SuperCamp is designed to boost motivation, grades and skills among students with its unique emphasis on “learning how to learn,” combined with a focus on personal development.

Georgia SuperCamp sessions include Junior Forum (ages 12-12 and grades 7-8), July 14-23, and Senior Forum (ages 14-18 and grades 9-12) July 26-Aug. 4.

Founded in 1981, SuperCamp has offered more than 28,000 students hands-on activities and challenging learning experiences based on its Quantum Learning methods. It is designed to teach students academic and personal enrichment skills in an environment that fosters self-worth and confidence. A study of teens who attended SuperCamp indicates three out of four teens increased their grade point averages 77 percent, find school easier and enjoy it more.
