GOP plans convention  

Fayette Republicans will elect delegates and alternates to the local party convention March 18 during precinct mass meetings at Starr's Mill High School.

Meetings will be at 9 a.m. The County Convention will convene at 10 a.m. at the same location for the purpose of electing delegates and alternates to the Congressional District Convention and State Convention. This is the beginning of the process for selecting delegates and alternate delegates to the Republican National Convention.

Both conventions will be at Starr's Mill High School.

Registration is free and all Fayette County residents who are legally registered to vote and believe in the principles of the Republican Party can participate.

The 3rd District Convention will be April 15 at 10 a.m. at Columbus Technical Institute, 928 Manchester Expressway, Columbus, Ga. The Georgia Republican Party will convene at 2 p.m. May 19 in Savannah.
