Police looking for armed robbers

Fayetteville police are looking for a group of men who robbed a man and two children at gunpoint Wednesday night.

According to reports, two armed men approached Thaddius White as he got out of his car in the driveway of his home at 140 Glenwood Lane. After demanding money from him, they forced White, his 8-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter inside the house.

The suspects struck White several times before tying him up and forcing the children to lie facedown on the kitchen floor, police said. They then fled the home with an undetermined amount of money.

Police are looking for:

A black male, 5-11 to 6 feet tall, medium build, about 185 pounds, bald with a gold tooth, wearing a white T-shirt and armed with a semiautomatic handgun.

A black male, 5-11 to 6 feet tall, medium build, armed with an unknown handgun.

A black male, short in height, wearing a FUBU shirt, a red and blue cap with blue jeans and short hair.

Two black males wearing dark clothing and short hair.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective James Miller at 770-461-4441. All information will be kept confidential.

The Fayetteville Police Department will hold a neighborhood watch meeting for residents of the Lakemont subdivision Wednesday, Mar. 15, at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse.
