The Peachtree City Library has announced the presentation of A Little Bit of Magic, an interactive musical play presented by A Company of Friends, scheduled for Sunday, March 5 at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. in the Floy Farr Room downstairs. The play is approximately 45 minutes long and is suitable for children 4 and up. A Company of Friends is a newly organized troupe of professional actors based in Fayette County who plan to bring high-quality educational and interactive entertainment to the youth of Fayette and surrounding counties. The performers have extensive experience in music and acting. Although the performance is directed by Tammie Barton of Fayette Community Theatre Inc., this is an independent company. A Little Bit of Magic, written by Gail Golden with music and lyrics by Grant Golden, is a charming musical that touches upon the special qualities of each human being, said Barton. Do-Nothing-Dale, a little picked-upon wizard, wants to know just what her little bit of magic is. On her amazing journey to find out, she meets characters like Mervin the Magnificent, Eddie Melody, Cleo the Clown and the Mysterious Weatherman. She finds out she is just as special as everyone else. Bright musical numbers add sparkle to this enchanting story that is suitable for children in preschool through fifth grade.
