The sandy Creek High School varsity math team placed fourth in the annual Fayette County Tournament staged Feb. 9. Senior Mae Davenport received the first place overall medal. She is also president of the math team.

Students participating in the tournament included Mae Davenport, Daniel Denney, Chris Keiser, Phillip Johnson, Chris Mallory, Kristy Marquez, Arif Noorani, Tracey Ragsdale, Michael Sullivan and Sam Switzer. Math team sponsors are Michelle Jones, Marilyn Ellis and Chris Flournoy.
