The Feb. 3 meeting of the City Council of Peachtree City included a number of minor items that were placed in the consent agenda, all of which were approved unanimously. The city will purchase a 2000 Ford F-650 dump truck for the Public Works Department. A bid of $38,474 from Peach State Truck Sales of Norcross was approved, which includes a $4,500 trade-in allowance for the city's existing 1990 Ford F-700 truck. A new track loader also is being acquired for the Public Works Department. The city will pay $42,000 for the John Deere 555G after getting a $36,000 trade-in allowance for its 1986 Caterpillar 943. For the city's annual update to the its comprehensive plan, which must be submitted to the Atlanta Regional Commission and Georgia Department of Community Affairs for review and approval, the mayor has been authorized to submit updates to the short term work program, capital improvements element and an impact fees report. Mary Ann Marinelli has been appointed as the new license representative for the Kwickie/Flash Foods store at 1001 Crosstown Road. The license for the store remains the same.
