School sets carnival

East Fayette Elementary School will host its annual winter carnival Friday from 5-9 p.m. The event is one of the school's key fund-raisers and is open to everyone in the community.

In addition to more than 25 games and tons of prizes for the kids, there will be silent auction for the adults featuring items such as a Delta Air Lines ticket for use in the continental U.S., a massage from Isi Paris Spa, and restaurant coupons.

Pizza, Chick-Fil-A and snack foods will be available for purchase. Entertainment by The Wild Hearts Show Band will provide acoustic and karaoke fun for all.

Parking is limited at the school, which is at the end of Booker Avenue, so carnival goers are urged to park at the county complex and pick up the bus at the fountain in Stonewall Village. The shuttle will operate regularly between 4:45 and 9:30 p.m.
