Fayette and surrounding residents are invited to a briefing to learn about the Atlanta Regional Commission's 25-year Regional Transportation Plan Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the County Administrative Complex, 140 Stonewall Ave., Fayetteville.

The $36 billion plan leans heavily toward public and alternative transportation, funneling money from road projects into the new projects, like bus systems for all metro Atlanta counties.

Also included is a rail line from Hartsfield Airport to Senoia, with stops in Peachtree City and Tyrone.
