Starr's Mill High School band will host a winter guard and indoor percussion competition this weekend in the school gymnasium.

Competition opens with drum lines at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by color guards at 6:30. Performances resume Sunday at 1 p.m., closing at 4 p.m.

Starr's Mill expects 18 high school color guards and six high school drum lines to compete. Local schools participating in winter guards include Starr's Mill, Newnan, East Coweta and Jonesboro. Drum lines from Starr's Mill, McIntosh, Newnan and East Coweta are expected.
