Your old wedding gown can help fight cancer

A Fayetteville company is helping some cancer patients fulfill their last wish.

Beautiful Additions, 125 Commerce Dr., is accepting donations of old wedding gowns to allow breast cancer patients purchase them at a reduced price.

The donation drive is sponsored by The Making Memorials Beast Cancer Foundation The foundation is based in Portland, Ore. and is dedicated to fulfilling last wishes for metastatic breast cancer patients.

The group is gearing up for the “wedding gown extravaganza,” dubbed “Something Old, Something New.”

“By donating these dresses, the previous bride receives a tax-deductible receipt, the bride-to-be gets a beautiful gown at a great price, and a woman or man with metastatic breast cancer is granted a final wish,” said Fran Hansen, president and founder of Making Memories.

The gown collection program runs through March 1. For information phone 770-719-9900.
