The second suspect in last year's drug murder in north Fayette County was indicted last week by the grand jury.

Paul Hylton faces two counts of felony murder, another count of murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and three counts of firearm possession while committing a crime, along with an arson charge and concealing the death of another.

Karl Hodge has already been indicted on those same charges, stemming from last spring's murder of Adolf Stubbs, whose body was found with a bullet wound inside a burned-out sport utility vehicle. The killing is believed to have been the result of a dispute among partners in a drug deal.

District attorney William McBroom has already made known his intention to seek the death penalty for Hodge and Hylton.

Also indicted last week was Courtney Duval Jacob of Newnan, who was arrested in November in Peachtree City for hiring someone to kill her husband. She faces a charge of criminal attempt to commit murder.

Carter, who has a 1983 felony conviction on the books in Fulton County, was apprehended Sept. 1, 1998 on Ga. Highway 314 with 135 grams of what is believed to have been crack cocaine. He also was carrying a .357 caliber revolver, according to the indictment.

Brian James Cohen faces an armed robbery indictment after allegedly robbing a woman on Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City last March. He pointed something at her from his jacket pocket which she believed to be a weapon, the indictment states.

Carl Williams Hill Jr. was indicted for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, and use of a license plate to conceal vehicle ID.

He was arrested in April 1998 on Ga. Highway 85 at the Clayton County line, according to the indictment. He was found to have switched license plates from another car to his own and was carrying a Ruger handgun when arrested.

Cedric Jerrell Taylor and Jovan Leviticus Thomas, both of Atlanta, were each indicted on three counts of forgery in the first degree, one count of second-degree forgery, and three counts of theft by deception. Taylor also faces two counts of obstruction of an officer.

Both defendants were arrested Nov. 9 of last year after attempting to pass forged checks at Wal-Mart, Marshall's and Ulta 3, the indictment states.
