A Fayette County grand jury Tuesday indicted a woman for hiring someone to kill her husband of three months.

Courtney Jacob, also known by her married name of Courtney Kimbrough, was charged with attempted murder. She remains in the Fayette County Jail without bond.

She was arrested Nov. 22 at a restaurant in Peachtree City after paying a would-be hit man $500 with the promise of more money after the insurance settlement was completed. The “hit man” turned out to be an undercover agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
