The Peachtree City Airport Authority elected new officers and approved a new meeting date and time last week in its first meeting of the new year. David Good is now the chairman, replacing Robert Patterson, who is now longer on the authority. H.E. Buffington is vice chairman. Mark Bunker is the group's newest member, filling Patterson's seat. Authority meetings for the past few months have been moved from their normal first Wednesday date to the second Wednesday. That move became permanent last week. Airport general manager Jim Savage said that it was becoming increasingly difficult to close the books on the previous month and have all of the necessary information ready for the meeting on the first Wednesday, thereby necessitating the change. A new staff position also was created at the airport, as the authority approved a request for a full-time records clerk/bookkeeper.
