| Exit identification
numbers changing Sometime
between now and July, all of the exit numbers on
Georgia's interstate highways will change.
Statewide
changes from a sequential numbering system to a
mileage-based system, in which exit numbers
correspond to the distance to the state line, was
effective Jan. 1, and contractors are in the
process of changing signs to reflect the new
policy.
Interstate
85 exits used by Fayette residents are changed as
follows:
Ga.
Highway 138 exit, formerly exit 13, is now exit
64.
Ga.
Highway 74 exit, formerly number 12, is now
number 61.
Collinsworth
Road exit, formerly 11, is now exit 56.
Ga.
Highway 154/McCollum-Sharpsburg, formerly exit
10, is not exit 51.
