proceed in Fayetteville By DAVE HAMRICK

Fayetteville
planning officials aren't expecting a huge influx
of new rezoning applications now that a
moratorium on new developments has been lifted.
I've
been through this sort of thing before, and it's
usually not as big a deal as you might
expect, said Maurice Ungaro, city planning
director.
No
new rezoning applications or development plans
will be on the Planning Commission's February
agenda, because the deadline for presenting plans
in order to have them considered has passed.
Developers
must submit plans by Feb. 11 in order to be on
the March work session and business meeting
agendas.
City
Council lifted the moratorium Monday after
enacting a new tree protection ordinance.
Development has been halted since October, while
city agencies discussed a new tree protection
ordinance, also approved Monday.
