Supporting our community
We're excited about serving in Year 2000

By MARTHA HAYHURST
President Fayette County Board of RealtorsÆ

Let me begin by saying how exciting it is to be serving our community and our association during the year 2000, a truly landmark year.

The Fayette County Board of Realtors has many exciting and significant activities planned for this year, and I want to mention just a few.

We plan to implement the strategic plan which was visioned this past fall, which includes greater emphasis on technology, meeting the needs of the 21st century Realtor and client.

Keeping education for our members as a top priority. Our innovative education program, unlike anything else in the state, provides new agent mentoring and continuing education which keeps our association's agents on the cutting edge.

Maintaining our commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards as a number one priority. Classes on the National Association of Realtors' Code of Ethics and “Responsibilities of the Real Estate Professional” are conducted quarterly at the board office to ensure that our members are the most professional group of real estate practitioners in Georgia.

I want to thank Carolyn McCullough for her leadership as board president throughout 1999. Through her vision, a Leadership Development Program was implemented last year to ensure that the Fayette County Board of Realtors has the leadership in place to meet the challenges of the ever-changing real estate market.

Service is the primary focus of all members of the Fayette County Board of Realtors. Please contact the Board office at 770-461-2401 whenever we can be of help.

The Fayette County Board or Realtors is one of more than 1,800 local boards and associations of Realtors that comprise the National Association of Realtors. As the nation's largest trade association, the national organization is “The voice for real estate,” representing nearly 750,000 members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.

The Fayette County Board can be reached at 770-461-2401.
