Joel Cowan, founder of Peachtree City and head of the state's new Georgia Regional Transportation Authority, will be the keynote speaker for the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce's annual banquet, set for next Monday. The 52nd annual meeting is set to begin at Northgate High School at 6:30 p.m. In making the announcement, chamber board of directors Chairman Don Phillips said, Mr. Cowan has been a leader in our region and in our state for decades, said chamber board of directors Chairman Don Phillips, and in his current position as chairman of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority and the Governor's Development Council, he will play an important role in the future development of the state.
