School system offers free help in math

Free math help is being made available to students by the Fayette County Board of Education, which has announced upcoming sessions at McIntosh and Starr's Mill high schools and Fayette County Community School.

Any student who is enrolled in applied problem solving, applied algebra, algebra I, geometry, algebra II or algebra III can attend sessions at any location. Other subjects might be added at a later date.

Students attending for the first time should bring a completed math help permission form, obtainable from the student's math teacher.

Students are allowed to come and go as they please, and are not required to stay the entire time. Students may use the session for homework help, corrections and quiz preparation.

Kay Seabolt, math coordinator for the school district, is available to answer questions at 770-460-3990, extension 119.
